This quaint, country italian restaurant is located in a forgotten corner of the Old World
Mall in Huntington Beach. Visited 3 times. This is a nice "hole-in-the-wall"
italian restaurant, with a true country-style decor and excellent service. The dinner meal
always starts off with a crusty italian bread, served with good olive oil peppered with
garlic and olives. By far, the star of the menu was the "Crostini Contadina," a
creation of Porcini Mushrooms and pignolis in a Marsala-Cream-Garlic Sauce over Toasted
Italian bread rounds, served only on the dinner menu as an appetizer. The pastas are
always well done and fresh, although sometimes a little spicy for sensitive palates. The
angel hair pasta with artichoke hearts, sun-dried tomatoes, Cream, peas and grilled
chicken was excellent. The Lasagne, although standard fare, was also well done and worth
ordering if you are a lasagne fan. The wine list is adequate, although true connosieurs
should brave the modest corkage fee and bring their own bottles.
