Your Review:  I have been here before but this last time the food was really great! I always get their veal & it's the best in town. My date loved their calamari appetizer(we had two). We sat at a really big cushy booth and enjoyed the dark, romantic atmosphere of the dining room. This was the first time I ordered off the new wine list and we were very impressed with all the selection and prices of some great old bottles. Our service was very good also. Our only complaint was that we didn't save room for dessert! I recommend Villa Nova for anyone who wants to celebrate a special occassion or who just likes really good traditional Italalian food (no haute cuisine here)

Your Review: Well, I had been contemplating visiting this restaurant
for quite some time since I drive by the area quite often, but never seemed
to have a chance, so, my girlfriend as a surprise birthday dinner, was
"lucky" enough to have gotten some reservations for us on the indicated
date, not that we probably would have needed them as the place seemed vacant
enough to accomodate an army, anyhow, first, we got seated upstairs, at this
wonderful booth for two and it was arranged so that the couple seats side by
side, it had a great view of the marina, except for, there were other
conventional tables right in front and it kinda obstructed the view, but
nothing too bad until people actually occupied them and then you feel as if
you got front row tickets to a "play house" show where a young couple their
infant little girl and newborn are the stars and take center stage, and
believe me from the time that we ordered our food and the time that it was
actually served to us, w!
as plenty enought to learn about the do's and dont's of early family
behaviour at the table, at that time, 50 minutes later to be exact, our
entertainment was rudely interrupted by our bad menu choices, it was either
that or the chef was just having an "off" night, dont know if Ill ever find
out since I dont plan in setting one foot in there again, but seeing how I
ordered the NY Filet mignon the time elapsed would be easily justified by
having that tender flavorful steak just melt in my mouth, not so, I honestly
have to say that the soles of my shoes would have tasted better with a
little A1, my girlfriends dried up chicken breast and veggies, with the side
of top ramen wasnt a winner either, I believe they called it, "chicken pasta
primavera", to make a long memorable birthday dinner story short, I think I
will be more forward and assertive about the quality and taste of my steaks
from now on, and not feel bad about sending it back, especially when Im
paying $30.00 for the d!
ish, make that $50.00 since I had to stop by the local Outback afterwards to
get the bad taste off my mouth, thank god for them.
