Restaurant review: This was my all time favorite restaurant for ALL
anniversaries, birthdays, celebrations et.al,. Recently I took my family
there for a birthday in the middle of the week for lunch. We had
reservations for a small party of 3. There was some kind of brew-ha ha
going on in the cellar, and they apparently didn't bother to hire more help
for the event. It took 1 1/2 hours before we actually saw food!!! And
another 1 1/2 hours for all of the other incidentals (ordering and
appetizers) for a grand total of over 3 hours for lunch. We were stuck off
in the empty dining room and even the bread/water steward didn't check on
us! It was pitiful and embarrassing since I raved on my "favorite
restaurant" and insisted on it for the birthday lunch. I was sorely
dissappointed and the waiter was ambivilent about the whole thing. We were
obviously not important to him or anyone else. My advise to them...hire
temps if you book a large event and sty open for !
us regulars...at least they will serve the food!!! Not impressed and feel
let down that I have lost my past favorite restaurant! So long old friend.
