Restaurant review: I went to the Royal Khyber with several
Indian
friends based on review in the LA Times. Our dining experience was
thoroughly
disappointing. We had several curry dishes that were not
even close to authentic.
One of the fish curry did not smell fresh. I
could have forgiven them for the
food as people's tastes varied, but the
service was no where near the level
that one would expect to receive for
paying $20 per entree. The final rub was
a complaint from the manager
that we wanted to equally divide the bill among
our credit cards. For
the $30+ gratuity that we were charged (final bill was
$180), that is
the least they could do. I would not recommend this restaurant.
