These beaches are accessible in several spots directly off the highway, but you have to
park where you can and make your way to the beach down steep stairs anchored to the
hillside. Look for the state "Coastal Access" signs to make sure you don't park
too far away from one of these paths. The tide pooling here is especially good.

Aliso Beach is popular with some residents because of its cookout pits and uncrowded
fishing pier. There's plenty of room to fly the frisbee, play volleyball, cook some hot
dogs and explore rocky areas on the southern end of the beach.
