Adminssion: $1 per person.
This is a four acre park for children with an Atlantis theme. There are sea serpents,
whales, dragons and other aquatic creatures transformed into playground equipment. The
surrounding landscape offer a tranquil feeling and lots of shade. Children under seven
must be accompanied by an adult.

Mid April throu November--Annual Shakespeare Festival
The productions are professional with many well known actors from Hollywood indulge in
their passion to perform to live audiences here. Three Shakespeare plays are staged in the
out door Festival Amphitheater from June to October, performed Wednesday through Saturday.
The three other plays that run concurrently with the Shakespreare theater are staged here
at the Gem theater. Call for current productions, show times and admission.

The Strawberry Festival has been going on for 30 years, and runs four days over Mamorial
Day Weekend. It is a festival to Honor the Strawberry. On display is the world's largest
Shortcake. There are booths offering food, carnival games, arts and crafts and other
wares. On Saturday of the festival there is a parade that begins at 9th and Chapman Ave
and proceeds to Euclid and Stanford. The festival helps raise money for local charities.
HISTORIC MAIN STREET

Here Garden Grove has retained its remnant of yesterday---a short quarter mile of antique
shops and other boutiques along a brick street lined with old fashion lamp post. You can
park for free at the corner of Main Street and Acacia Pkwy, then stroll down Main toward
Garden Grove Blvd. The shops carry both swap meet type collectibles as well as legitimate
antiques for the discerning gift shopper. Zlaket's Market, is the oldest family owned
business in the city, founded in 1927, and offers exotic food and good bottles of wine.
Barry's Trains is a shop where the owner has just about anything you may want for a model
train collection. The Sleepy Hollow Antique mall on the corner of Garden Grove Blvd and
Main features 6,000 square feet of collectibles.

This house was built in 1891, and is now a museum for displays on early life of Garden
Grove. A "general store" doubles as the docent headquarters. The house is a two
story blue and yellow gingerbread type with a white picket fence. Walt Disney's original
studio is located in this park, which was in the garage, dating from 1923.
